The Rulebook
Community Rules
These rules keep the Cove fair, immersive, and welcoming. By connecting to our server you agree to follow them in full.
General Conduct
- 1.1Treat every member with respect. Harassment, discrimination, and hate speech are never tolerated.
- 1.2You must be 18 or older to play on Kiwi Cove.
- 1.3No real-world trading, advertising other communities, or spamming in any channel.
- 1.4Staff decisions are final in the moment — raise disputes calmly through a support ticket.
Roleplay Standards
- 2.1Stay in character at all times while connected to the server. Use /ooc sparingly and only when necessary.
- 2.2Value your character's life (RVL). Act as any reasonable person would when their life is at risk.
- 2.3No fail RP, powergaming, or forcing outcomes on another player without giving them a fair chance to respond.
- 2.4Metagaming — using out-of-character information in-character — is strictly prohibited.
Combat & NLR
- 3.1New Life Rule (NLR): once downed and respawned, you forget the events leading to your death and cannot return to the scene.
- 3.2No Random Death Match (RDM) or Vehicle Death Match (VDM). Initiation and roleplay must precede hostility.
- 3.3Combat logging — disconnecting to avoid a scenario — results in an immediate sanction.
- 3.4Green zones (hospitals, police stations, spawn areas) are safe zones. No hostile RP within them.
Communication
- 4.1Working voice chat is required for most roleplay. Keep audio clear and free of background noise.
- 4.2Use the correct radio and phone channels in character. No cross-chatting between unrelated scenes.
- 4.3Recording is permitted for personal content, but respect others and follow Discord/streaming etiquette.
Fairness & Integrity
- 5.1Exploiting bugs, using third-party mods, cheats, or macros results in a permanent ban.
- 5.2Report bugs to staff instead of abusing them. Abuse is treated the same as cheating.
- 5.3One character economy — no transferring money or items to bypass progression unfairly.
Consequences
Breaches are handled case-by-case and may result in a verbal warning, formal warning, temporary suspension, or permanent ban depending on severity and history. All sanctions are logged. If you believe a decision was made in error, open a support ticket and a senior staff member will review it.
